About ItalianDualCitizenshipLaw.com

Italian dual citizenship services — genealogy research, document retrieval and the full procedure before the Italian authorities, with attorneys admitted in Italy for court proceedings. Serving Italian Americans and Italian Canadians across the United States and Canada.

Why we built this service.

Every week, Italian Americans and Italian Canadians contact us with the same story: they know they have Italian ancestry, they believe they may qualify for Italian dual citizenship, but they have no idea where to find the documents — or what to do with them once they find them.

Most services offer one or the other: genealogy research or handling the procedure. We offer both, under one roof, with attorneys admitted in Italy where a case goes to court. Our experience in European citizenship by descent — including Greek and Cypriot cases — gives us a unique understanding of both the genealogical research and the documentary and procedural requirements.

Eleftherios Hatzidimitriou — Director

Eleftherios Hatzidimitriou has worked for years on European citizenship-by-descent files in Greece, Cyprus and Italy, from the archival research through to the filing of the application. The combination of genealogical expertise and procedural knowledge is the foundation of every Italian citizenship case we handle.

Our researchers are on the ground in Italy.

Italian vital records cannot be retrieved online. They require physical presence in local archives, town halls and parish registries across all 20 Italian regions. Our certified genealogists are based throughout Italy — from Milan to Palermo — and know exactly where to find the records that will build your citizenship case.

All cases entrusted to us are handled by certified genealogists and specialists of E. Chatzidimitriou LLC, with attorneys admitted in Italy where a court petition is required.
